Robots in COVID War

As the War of Coronavirus is still on in many countries in the globe. Even many of them didn't see any downfall in the spreading graphs but in almost every country Robots are being used nowadays for various purposes, as they're replacing humans so that loss can be prevented. Actually, the rise of Robots in this field are helping everyone. Companies large and small are expanding the use of robots to increase social distancing and reduce the number of staff that have to physically come to work.

Robots are used to perform roles which workers cannot do at home. Walmart, America's biggest retailer is using robots to scrub its floors to promote cleanliness. Robots in South Korea have been used to measure temperatures and distribute hand sanitiser. Due to the highly infectious nature of the coronavirus, robots can provide contact-free alternatives.

In India, Delhi-based AIIMS hospital deployed a floor disinfectant and a humanoid robot in Covid-19 ward. So, workers can stay away from that ward to avoid risk.

Due to the shortage of personal protective equipment, adoption of Robots to treat COVID-19 patients is expected to grow in India. Even more, Research is going on on this that how robots can be used to remotely test patients for the virus to prevent healthcare workers.
Fortis hospital, Bengaluru has also deployed an interactive robot at its entrance to screen everyone, including medical staff, entering the premises.

We have seen an increase in demand for Robots, especially in medical areas, across every country. As we have already mentioned some recent hospitals including Fortis, CloudNine ad Max which are implementing new robotics technology.

"Some hospitals have shown interest in how robots can be leveraged in the long run", said Rajeev Karwal, founder chairman, Milagrow, the Gurugram based robotics company that made the robots deployed in AIIMS, Delhi. Some other hospitals are also talking about to get a robot to serve food and medicine in COVID wards.

Deploying robots to reduce human contact is being tried in other countries as well. The field hospital in Hongshan Sports Center, Wuhan has deployed multiple robots for almost everything from screening people to delivering food and medicine to patients along for entertainment purposes.

As now, the future is all about to stay safe and more and more robotic technology are being used.
